MONTE RIO COMMUNITY BEACH

Located on a large bend of the River, the Beach stretches along the sunny side on both sides of the Monte Rio Bridge. During the summer, a wooden boardwalk is installed which connects the parking area directly to the water's edge. A fully equipped concession stand and boat rental facility are positioned around a tent-covered picnic area overlooking the swimming area. The outdoor dining area and mobile kitchen are available for reservation. The Beach is the center of the annual 4th of July festivities including the Big Rocky Games, Water Carnival and evening fireworks. Canoes, kayaks, water toys and sun umbrellas are all available to beach goers. Sand volleyball courts, horseshoe pits and individual barbecue areas overlook the Russian River.

The Monte Rio Community Beach is within a few minutes walking distance from river access (fly-fishing and boat launch), live theater and first-run movies, shops, taverns, restaurants and riverfront lodging.
