Welcome...

We are pleased to announce the introduction of our new website. The Monte Rio Recreation & Park District Board of Directors is endeavoring to increase the programs, services and facilities that can be provided for the Lower Russian River Community. We have recently completed (April 2006) our new Master Plan to 2025 which was developed by the landscape architects and planning firm of Royston Hanamoto Alley & Abey of Mill Valley and San Francisco. This document provides clear direction and methods by which to improve the MRRPD's ability to better serve our community. The completed document was entirely funded by the Sonoma County Community Development Commission and was support by the Russian River Redevelopment Oversight Committee. Please visit the MRRPD office to review a copy of our master plan.

Please contact us if you are interested in volunteering. We are always looking for assistance in grant writing, technical writing and related fund raising efforts. The Facilities Committee has a list of minor construction and landscape projects that could easily become community volunteer projects. Let us know your interests and hopes for our area.
